Swayback has two definitions:-

  1. Same as hyperlordosis, where the curve of the lower back is overpronounced

  2. Hips forward of ankles and shoulders such that the body viewed from side on has the shape of an archer's bow

Any deviation of the spine away from a tall and relaxed posture will tend to make lower back pain worse, so it’s worth thinking about!

These are both cheat postures that we correct with an awareness drill and simple strength exercises
