Five-minute preview: pilates rolling in three variations

(Always ask, “What is the reason for this exercise…?”)

In this 5-minute preview: one exercise can do different things!-

  • Rocking chair rolling requires a firm tummy and a non-moving spine: “like the rail on a rocking chair”

  • Spine articulation rocking turns your spine into the track on a caterpillar tractor!

  • Breathing teeter-totter uses the movement of the diaphragm to shift the weight of your tummy organs from one end of your teeter-totter (see-saw in UK English) to the other!

55-minute video: chair jockey and teeter-totter: fun moves by which we share and grow

While watching the video below, look for the fun moves & quirky comments e.g:

A strong forefoot and safe knee in the chair back warrior pose

Chair jockey: teaches “light on the feet”

Side sit split squat: it’s a tongue breaker and it also teaches you to get in and out of a chair smoothly - if you ever trip and fall, you will now do it graceully, with zero damage.

Single leg stretches: with an add-on to check for and manage early stage hip arthritis
